One of the biggest legal battles in NASCAR history came to an end last week, when 23XI Racing/Front Row Motorsports decided to settle the charter lawsuit. After ugly debates in the court, the exposed the sport leadership Jim France decided to give in for the team’s demand of evergreen charter, with the primary goal of uniting for a better future.
23XI Racing co-owner Denny Hamlin is over the moon with the settlement that is a win for the teams, as he was more emotionally invested than anyone on the case. He has now decided to demand accountability from individuals that pushed what he called negative narrative around the lawsuit, and the first one on his list is Larry McReynolds of SiriusXM Radio. On their announcement of their latest show, he demanded an apology for the past comments.
Good morning. Now that the case is settled and the evidence is out will you or anyone on channel 90 be issuing an apology for what you all said about 23XI/FRM when the lawsuit was filed?

One NASCAR fan questioned Denny Hamlin’s motivation behind the social media post, highlighting how sharing different mirative is part of a talk show, though Chanel 90 was in support of NASCAR and they have a business association. The racer responded that they need to apologize for sharing “fake” narratives and the fan was impressed with the veteran’s calm response.
Fan: Why apologize if you say what you believe when you say it? Isn’t that the point of a talk show? It may have been not what people wanted to hear but its his right to say what he thinks right or wrong. So why is an apology required?
DH: Well because I believe that once the actual facts and documents were released it was contradictory to the narrative that was being pushed. Larry is a very hard working analyst. Hopefully he took the time to analyze the situation post settlement and revise his thoughts.
Denny Hamlin responded on X.

The three times Daytona 500 winner didn’t stop there, as to remain everyone that comments he was talking about, he posted another post on X. He highlighted that the narrative Chanel 90 spread was 23XI/FRM doesn’t know what they are doing and asked them how they could challenge the sport they have been part of for just a handful of years.
I believe it was “how dare them for trying to come in and change the sport. 23XI hasn’t been around long enough and FRM wasn’t good enough”. Also how about “ I dont know what their problem is, 13 other teams signed it”. Just to name a few examples.
Denny Hamlin asserted.

BG: I realize you’re responding to Larry, but shouldn’t we let the animosity end? I would love to see us all positively move the sport forward with unity and grace.

The comments from the three times Daytona 500 driver shows how relieved he is about the case being settled. He is right to demand apology from SiriusXM Radio, who failed to give the fans an unbiased coverage of the lawsuit as they should and just like Hamlin, the fans also deserved an apology.
