The Denny Hamlin family went through one of the most chaotic off-season ever after 2025 championship battle. Just weeks after the settlement of the controversial charter lawsuit, he lost his father Dennis Hamlin in a tragic housefire, with his mother still in the hospital recovering from injuries.

Denny Hamlin’s fiancé and long-time partner Jordan Fish shared his thoughts on the tragedy via an Instagram story. She thanked everyone in the community that stood by her and her family after the tragedy. The whole family needed the support from the community to slowly get over the tough moments.

Further talking about the point, she admitted that it was tough season and challenging off-season for the Hamlin household. The NASCAR garage is getting ready to hit the road again and start the 2026 season with the Clash at Bowman Gray Staidum, but the Hamlin are still not ready for that journey to start.

It’s been a really weird, sad season. Not really much of an off-season at all, and it’s hard to believe that next weekend we’re gonna be starting back up again, and I don’t feel like we’re really caught up.

She also revealed that she is sick at the moment and is slowly recovering, while also going through the emotions of losing her future father-in-law. Fish once again thanked the community for their support and reiterated that the whole family appreciates it.

I’m kind of fighting a little sickness right now. I just wanna come on here and say thank you for reaching out and supporting our family. We really appreciate it.

Joe Gibbs Racing veteran Denny Hamlin has also recently spoked out on the tragic loss for the first time. He like his fiancé appreciated everyone support and thanked them. The veteran racer also revealed that his mother is slowly recovering from the injuries.

The NASCAR family has always been a very tight group, and I appreciate the condolences and the well-wishes and everything from everyone. It certainly does mean a lot… I’m OK, as to be expected… She has good days, bad days, but is getting better.
