Joe Gibbs Racing veteran Denny Hamlin made a massive change to his NASCAR career in 2023 when he became a podcaster. He joined Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s Dirt Mo Media and started hosting Action Detrimental, where he took a deep dive into every race in the sport with his co-host Jarrad Allen.

The podcast has been a huge success as Denny Hamlin’s takes on each topics started attracting more fans, even his haters started appreciating him. But the future of the podcast seems to be in an uncertainty state as they are yet to figure out a new deal for 2025 and beyond. While talking about the same Hamlin admitted that he is unsure about the future with Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s platform.

The 23XI Racing co-owner is grateful for the opportunity Dirty Mo Media gave him and how much freedom they gave him to be more expressive. He also revealed that he has the freedom to continue his podcast as his own if he wants with the support of Junior and crew.

The JGR veteran while further discussing on the point, asserted that the podcast has given him more opportunities for the future. He believes this podcast has given him the opportunity to grow his brand beyond racing once he retires.

It has spurred some conversations with current TV partners and things like that. What happens when I’m done racing? What can they do with me while I’m racing? It certainly has given me the opportunity to grow my brand far beyond being just the race car driver, and I’m so grateful for that.

The future of Action Detrimental sure seems to be in a limbo. Many fans would like to see the show being continued under the Dirt Mo Media brad, but at the same time if Hamlin tries to build a platform of his own fans might get more open conversations from the racer.
