TRICON Garage’s Corey Heim is one of the biggest prodigies climbing the NASCAR ladder at the moment. The drivers who have a concrete deal with 23XI Racing at the moment, has won 15 truck Series races from his 75 outings so far and has been a regular championship contender since his debut. Now his boss Denny Hamlin has given a major update on his future.

Corey Heim made his 4th NASCAR Cup start on Sunday at Kansas and has secured a top 15 finish, proving he is ready for the big move to the elite division. Talking to The Athletic, Denny Hamlin backed these assertions and declared the youngster is in for the long haul at 23XI. Heim is waiting for the opportunity to produce a statement run in the top-tier.

He’s going to be a Sunday Cup guy. There’s no doubt in my mind about it. He’s going to be with 23XI for the long haul. (Heim is) doing everything (he’s been) asked to. He’s in the building multiple times per week, working on his craft, continuing to get better, waiting on the opportunity.

The Joeb Gibbs Racing drivers believes that despite the limited Cup race opportunities, Heim is happy with 23XI Racing as he knows there is a long-term future for him with the TRD team, hence trust the development project that’s ahead of him. The only issue the team faces is the fact that they are limited to just three charters and all three are filled.

And he knows he’s got a long-term future with 23XI Racing, and he’s happy with that. And he’s happy with the development process that we have set out for him in the future… But, ultimately, there’s only three cars, three charters that we’re allowed to have, and so we have to figure out in the future where we go with that.

Denny Hamlin added.

No:45 driver Tyler Reddick is a set for a long-time stint with 23XI Racing, as he is their best racer and biggest championship prospects. No:23 driver Bubba Wallace is part of the teams’ history and the biggest presence for them on the marketing side; hence he won’t be let go any time soon. That left Riley Herbest, the only one expandable. But the sponsorship he is bringing in significant to overlook.

Denny Hamlin gives an update on his new contract with Joe Gibbs Racing

The 2025 NASCAR Cup season will mark the end of the two-year contract extension Joe Gibbs Racing signed with Denny Hamlin, and now they are working on a new deal. It’s pretty clear that both parties want to extend the deal, as Joe Gibbs is happy with their longest serving racer ever and he still have many years left in his at the elite division.

Recently Denny Hamlin talked about the expansion and pointed out that the negotiations are going on and the announcement will be made sooner than later. Other than winning the championship, the Hamlin-Gibbs partnership has only delivered positive outcomes for the partners and nothing indicates the opposite is going to happen soon.

Working on it… Should be something done somewhat soon.

The No:11 Toyota Camry team needs to secure the veterans’ signature as they have a lot more races to win together. This will also help Hamlin with his 23XI Racing plans as he won’t be needing a seat at his own team to race for in the final chapter of his career, keeping the seat open to youngsters.
