Denny Hamlin is one of the most passionate NASCAR drivers on the current grid and he often doesn’t hold back his anger during races over incidents. The Coca-Cola 600 this Sunday at Charlotte was no different. He was furious with RFK Racing’s Chris Buescher whose pit-stop moves made the race tough for Hamlin.
The duo shared Neighbour pit-stop during the Coke 600, with Chris Buescher having the pit-box that is just ahead of Denny Hamlin. The way the No:17 Chevy entered the pit-box every time made it really hard to the No:11 Toyota Camry to get out smoothly and as the race progressed Hamlin got furious.

He vented his frustration via team radio with his crew chief Chris Gabehart and demanded his to clear the situation. To which the No:11 team boss replied that he had done everything he could, and the next thing would be fight between the two. Hamlin responded to it by saying that he would fight the RFK crew if the same happens in the next stop.
Chris Gabehart: Brother, if I do anything more than I’ve already done, we’re going to FIGHT! Do you understand? I’ve done all I can do!Denny Hamlin: That’s what I’m going to do next time. Do you hear me 17? Park in your Goddamn box! I will stomp on your bumper!
Denny Hamlin and Chris Buescher ended the drama with a civil discussion
Soon after the conversation with Denny Hamlin, Gabehart had another discussion with the No:17 team and the crew chief Chris Evans. This time the duo was able to find a suitable solution over how the No:17 should change the way he entered the pits.

So they instructed Chris Buescher to change his style entering pit and it helped the both driver to have a smooth race before it was halted mid-way to stage-3 over rain delay. It helped Denny Hamlin to get back to the top-5 and be in contention, before the race was eventually called of. During the rain delay both the teams had a discussion as well.
