Denny Hamlin is being the big boy in the situation
In the same conversation, Denny Hamlin asserted that he is being the big boy at the situation and is taking the jibe from Ty Dillon. He highlighted that he makes cheeky comments after races knowing really well that his words will haunt him as soon as he starts losing races.

You open yourself up and when you do that, the moments you fail, they’re going to give it to you. But you’ve got to be a big boy and take it. I am going to take it from Ty Dillon.

He also highlighted how Ty Dillon thought it through with his post-race media comments, as he has more than two hours to prepare for it owing to the fact that the No:11 Toyota wrecked in the second stage of the race. Hamlin, like other drivers expected this unpredictability to playout at Atlanta.
The guy had two hours to think about his acceptance speech. In the car, he sees me on the wrecker and he’s like, ‘Ah, I sure hope they interview me after this race.’ … Listen, this is the unpredictability of putting us on a speedway race.
Denny Hamlin added.
If Denny Hamlin had won the bracket challenge, nothing would have changed. But now since Ty Dillon has progressed the racer gets more headline, limelight and a good shot at fighting to secure a good payday for him and his teammate.
