Denny Hamlin saw a lot of highs and lows in 2025
The 2025 has been an eventful year for the three times Daytona 500 champion on and off the track. The year marked his best performance In Next-Gen era, scoring six wins and 14 top-5s. He was the favorite to win the championship and if not for a late caution, the Bill France Cup would have been in his lap instead Kyle Larson in the flight back home from Arizona.

He passed a major milestone by winning his 6th career race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Hamlin is considered by many as most probably the last racer to achieve this milestone. He won the race and dedicated it his father Dennis Hamlin, who was hospitalized due to illness. Not winning the championship as well for him reaming a big regret for the veteran.
The next major news of the veteran this year was him becoming a father for the third time. His fiancé Jordan Fish gave birth to Jameson Drew Hamlin in June 11. This expands the Hamlin family to five, with him already being father to two daughters Taylor and Molly. He is also getting ready to marry the love of life, Jordan soon.
The most dramatic incident for the veteran in the 2025 season, was the charter lawsuit he filed as the co-owner of 23XI Racing with Michael Jordan and Bob Jenkins of FRM, against NASCAR. The battle started in the 2024 season, after the two teams refused to sign the new charter deal, demanding a better revenue shared.
The year long court drama, ended with a settlement after two weeks of ugly trial where NASCAR decided to give up their absolute control of the charters. They are set to sign a new deal that will make the charter evergreen, and also gave the team a hefty settlement to offset the loss they incurred racing as part-time teams. It was the biggest win of Hamlin’s 2025 season.
