Corey LaJoie wanted to end his career with Spire Motorsports
The veteran driver recently talked about his exit from Spire and admitted that he hates the fact that he couldn’t see his career through with the team. He and his team failed to adjust the No:7 Chevy team the right way to get the balance right and get the results required.
I do hate that we weren’t able to see it through; we weren’t able to kind of adjust the [No.] 7 team and kind of turn the right knobs to get performance where we needed it.Corey LaJoie said.
He went onto admit his mistakes that led to his exit from the team. LaJoie admitted that he made too many mistakes behind the wheel that cost the team some solid finishes. If it not for these mistakes, he would have had a seat in the Cup for 2025.
Also, I made too many mistakes behind the wheel this year. There were several that took us out of contention for some good resultsCorey LaJoie added.
The veteran driver still has some more to offer to NASCAR as a driver as well as a media person, but the opportunities he would get might be much worse than what he used to have in the past. It would be interesting to see what the future would be for LaJoie.
