Kyle Miyata Larson famously known as Kyle Larson originates from Elk Grove, California, and currently sports the No.5 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 for Hendrick Motorsports. The NASCAR’s 2021 Cup Series champion, despite having a rough start getting disqualified at this years’ Daytona 500, came back strong by winning the Auto Club 400 and stealing P2 in the Pennzoil 400 but yet again got disqualified in the Ruoff Mortgage 500.

He is popularly known for his versatility and presently aggregating the NASCAR Cup Series with dirt-racing events. It is evident that it is a strenuous task to take part in multiple races in the same week yet he manages to pull it off effortlessly. The reigning Cup Series champion at has previously expressed his plans on taking part in the Indianapolis 500 at some point in the near future.

Now one of crowd favorite NASCAR driver of the past Dale Earnhardt Jr has come out expressing his thoughts on how hard it would be for Kyle Larson to make his Indy 500 dream a reality.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. in his podcast “Dale Jr Download: Ask Jr.” stated the obstacles Kyle Larson will have to face, which are the possible conflicts with the manufacturers and sponsors. He added that these are the only factors for a driver to consider in today’s era. He further added that a driver could make everything work out and still keep everyone happy but these days it has to be a Chevrolet or something affiliated with it and the driver also has to get all that right, or might eventually end up facing a major roadblock.

The only thing that gets in the way, really, is the manufacturers, sponsorships. Conflicts like that. Those are the only limiting factors for a driver in today’s era of motorsport. Years ago, you could drive one make and then hop in another make.” says Dale Earnhardt Jr.

“You could work it out, you could massage everything to keep everybody happy. Nowadays, it’s gotta be a Chevy, it’s gotta be something aligned with Chevrolet. Or its gotta be something aligned with his partners, and getting all that right, is sometimes impossible. That’s the biggest roadblock,” Dale Earnhardt Jr. added.

No wonder Kyle Larson is an outstanding driver, but the question remains whether he will be able to defend the Cup Series title in 2022. Will Kyle Larson take part in the Indianapolis 500 this year or the succeeding years?
