The 2024 Formula 1 season marked the end of Daniel Ricciardo’s career. The Australian racer was replaced by VCARB towards the end of the season owing to his disappointing runs. The 35-year-old is currently jobless and is looking into other racing series for a potential return. One of his most talked about destinations is the NASCAR Cup Series, which he has been a big fan of since his childhood years.
Daniel Ricciardo‘s massive fan base in the USA helps his career as well. Recently, senior NASCAR Journalist Bob Pockrass, via his Fox Sports column, has predicted that the Aussie will race in NASCAR, and it won’t be a one-off entry, despite his hesitation towards making the move.
The veteran’s comments are based his argument on the fandom and sponsorship appeal the Ex-Red Bull F1 driver has. The Next-Car is also a game changer, as it is capable of making his transition to stock car racing smooth.
Daniel Ricciardo was recently hailed as his best teammate ever by Max Verstappen
The reigning F1 champion, Max Verstappen, has recently given the perfect reason why Ricciardo deserves more racing opportunities. He labeled him as the best Red Bull teammate he has ever had, showing the speed and caliber of the veteran racer.
Teams like Trackhouse Racing, 23XI Racing, and even Richard Childress Racing are among the best opportunities he has in NASCAR. It would be interesting to see if the much-awaited move will ever happen to Daniel Ricciardo.
