The 2024 Cup season witnessed teams and NASCAR going head-to-head over the new charter deal for the 2025-2031 season. Things took a turn for the worst as 23XI Racing and Front Row Motorsports, who refused to sign the deal, sued NASCAR alleging monopolistic behaviour from the series owners.
The teams have found themselves in a huge uncertainty with not even a full-time slot available for them for 2025. There deals with Stewart Haas Racing to buy one charter each is in a limbo as well, with NASCAR not yet accrediting the charters sale. According to senior NASCAR journalist Jordan Bianchi some of the rival teams are seeing this an opportunity buy the charters for themselves.
He asserted that SHR isn’t going to hurt more and put them in a scramble mode because of the lack of sale as there is still suitors for them. The only issue is the 2025 season would start with in the next-two months, so thing should be fast-tracked soon.
Jordan Bianchi gave his verdict on future of the lawsuit saga
In the same podcast, Bianchi made a positive prediction about the future of the lawsuit saga. He believes that all the dram between the teams and NASCAR would be settled before the Daytona 500. Bianchi is confident that an agreement can be reached regarding the same soon.
The comments from Jordan Bianchi shows hints of optimism for the fans that whole drama would end soon. It will be interesting to see if these predictions would come true and if the legal process get settled before the season comes to end.
