RCR Rookie Austin Hill came out victorious in the last lap of Beef. It’s What’s for Dinner. 300 in Daytona evading the last-lap crash which saw Myatt Snider’s car getting torn down mid-air after colliding with the fence.
As the race approached turn 3 of the final lap Anthony Alfredo who lost his control forced Myatt Snider’s car up the track directly into the path of Jade Buford. Sniders No. 31 Chevrolet was flipped over Buford’s car following the collision which was then slammed into the outside catch fence.
The rear end of Myatt Snider’s car tore down into debris and scattered around the track and onto fellow competitors’ cars. Race officials immediately placed the race under caution and Austin Hill was eventually declared the winner.
Myatt Snider was able to exit his car following the major crash by himself with only a minor injury to his left foot and his survival from such a major crash is a testament to the safety measures NASCAR has put into its challengers.
Find out what Myatt Snider had to say about the crash

Myatt Snider expressed how the crash played out for him saying that he felt a push to the right when he was trying to keep the momentum up just like everyone around him because it was the last lap. Myatt Snider went on to say that he got turned around and the fence caught his left rear tearing it up eventually getting into the grass.
“Yeah, I mean, you know, it’s the last lap and everybody’s trying their best to push as hard as possible. And, you know, I’m trying to keep as much momentum as I can get and so I felt a push and I started feeling the car goes right,” Myatt Snider said.
“I’m like, ‘Crap, I might be along for a ride here and sure enough, I was. I got turned around to the side and then I was facing backward and I started seeing the race track and I’m like, ‘Hmm, this is getting better as it goes,” Myatt Snider added.
“I think what happened is that the left rear started yawing towards the fence and then the fence caught it and that’s what started tearing everything up. And then I got drug into the grass from what I could tell,” says Myatt Snider.

Myatt Snider described the incident as a violent one as he saw sparks going everywhere moving in an unknown direction. Myatt Snider said he was trying to keep everything together during the crash adding he is happy about how it ended.
“It was violent. Like I, I saw sparks kind of going everywhere and, you know, you don’t, you don’t know what’s going on. You just kind of know you’re going in some direction and it’s not the right one. So, I was just kind of holding on, kind of hunching over, keeping everything together as much as I could. So yeah, I can’t profess enough how glad it ended. I’m all good,” Myatt Snider described.
