The only racer from the iconic Earnhardt family that is still racing alongside Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jeffery Earnhardt is set to make another part-time entry this season in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. He is set to drive the No:26 Sam Hunt Racing Toyota for the upcoming races at Michigan International Speedway, the season finale race at Phoenix.
Jeffrey Earnhardt has already made two starts this season with the Sam Hunt Racing team, which remains as his only two Xfinity outings of the 2024 season. The first race was at Atlanta where he secured a P8 finish, which was his first ever top-10 in the series since 2022. The second start was at Talladega where he was able secure just a P37 finish.
He’s back for more. From the Irish Hills of Michigan to the Arizona desert, @jearnhardt1 will pilot the No. 26 Synergy Modular GR Supra in the upcoming races at @MISpeedway and @phoenixraceway!

Sam Hunt Racing enjoys working with Jeffrey Earnhardt
The 2024 season marked Jeffrey Earnhardt’s return to the Sam Hunt Racing after one year stint with other teams in the series. When he was announced in a part-time role at the start of the season, the owner of the team Sam Hunt admitted that everyone in his team enjoys working with the racer.
Jeffrey is a great guy that everyone enjoys being around and working with. We’ve had some great conversations over the past couple months and know he is committed to the program, as well as to the TRD family.Sam Hunt said.
He later highlighted how the experience and perspective of the sport would help the team be faster on the track. Hunt was excited to start building the team again and would be hoping to continue the same with the end deal.
His experience and full perspective view on the sport is always refreshing, and feel we had great speed together in 2022. I’m excited to build on that momentum and pick up where we left off…Sam Hunt added.
With the 2024 season being less busy compared to past years for Jeffrey Earnhardt, he would be hoping to use the opportunity to secure more chances in the upcoming season. He has just three starts to his name in the 2024 season compared to 2023 where he made over 20 NASCAR Xfinity Series starts.
