The NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Iowa featured multiple high-stake incidents that changed the whole outcome of the race.  One such incident featured Richard Childress Racing young No:2 Chevy driver Jesse Love, who crashed out on the final lap of stage two after succeeding in a dual for stage points.

As the second stage was coming to an end, Love found himself in a aggressive battle for stage points with his teammate Austin Hill. He was able to get on the lead and secure P10 on the stage. During these final laps of the stage, he informed RCR about some vibrations from the car and it turned out to be something serious.

He crashed hard onto the wall as the stage came to and after losing control of his car. The No:2 Chevy had significant damages and the car was towed out of the track to the garage by the track martials. As the two truck made its way to the garage area, Love’s car started burning, which started in the hood.

I think on the restart, I imagine when me and the #00 (Cole Custer) made a little bit of contact when I was trying to fill the hole. Maybe it punctured a little bit and then it just started getting tighter and tighter and then it went off… Just a flat.
Jesse Love said.

The youngster is having strong debut season in the second tier. He has already secured his spot in the playoffs with a win at Talladega and has come close to a win multiple time. But he is currently in a rough patch as he hasn’t able to secure a top-10 finish in the last four races. He will be hoping to redeem himself and make a strong comeback next race at New Hampshire.
