The 2024 season will mark the end to the long history of Stewart Haas Racing as the team will cease it’s operations at the end of the season. This puts Chase Briscoe, Noah Gragson, Josh Berry and Ryan Precce out of a job for the 2025 season.  None of the driver has yet secured a seat for the upcoming season.

What makes things worse for the SHR drivers is the fact that their teams are consistently failing to give their drivers cars capable of winning races, which has been the case for the team since the start of Next-Gen era. Now Josh Berry, the No:4 Ford Mustang driver at SHR has shared the state of him and his teammates.

While talking about his improved performance at Iowa this week compared to Sonoma the week before, Josh Berry asserted that he and his teammates are fighting for their jobs at the moment. He pointed out that the best way for him to prove himself to the NASCAR nation is to win a race this season.

So, tonight is obviously what we’re capable of, and you know, look — the reality is, we’re all racing for our jobs, man. I mean, we are. For me, I don’t know what else I can do, besides win a race, to prove that I can race at this level.
Josh Berry told Matt Weaver.

I really, you know, we’re running up front. We’re doing some really good things. We’ve shown a lot of potential. We’re qualifying better. Racing better. I think that, you know, there’s a lot of good days coming for the No. 4 team.
Josh Berry said.

It seems Berry is hoping to re-establish himself as the one of the solid choices for the upcoming season. It would interesting see which team he would land next-year and whether it will be one of the front runners.
