The opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics has received a lot of criticism. The show’s portrayal of the last supper of Jesus Christ using drag queens didn’t sit well with majority of the Christians around the world, alongside many others who saw this as blatant dis-respect of religious sentiments.

Many athletes and public personalities have come out demanding a boycott of the mega sports event. One of those was former NASCAR driver Kenny Wallace, who made a special YouTube video on his channel demanding answers and calling for the boycott of the event for the controversial performances in the ceremony.

Many people are boycotting the Olympics but that's the price they pay over there when they, uh, when they insult 1.6 billion people. I'm not watching the Olympics and I feel bad for those great athletes because, you know, those athletes have worked their whole life. They deserve to be seen.
Kenny Wallace said via his YouTube Channel.

t’s the Summer Olympics. So, I want to see who’s the best cuz I like competition. But, on the other hand, it’s like when I had to quit drinking Coke, Pepsi, or sweet tea. I win. If I get addicted to something that’s not good for my body, I will win. I won’t do it. So, I will not watch the Olympics.
Kenny Wallace said.

The veteran seems really disappointed with how things turned out, but is determined to keep to his word and not to watch the event. He reiterated the comment later in a video shared on X, asserting the actions were unacceptable.
