The NASCAR community is still in shock over the tragic death of ex-Truck/Busch series champion Greg Biffle and his family in a tragic plane crash at Statesville Airport. Authorities have started an investigation to find the root cause of the tragedy and is yet to table a report. Ex-racer Kenny Wallace has recently shared his theory on what might’ve happened.
On a video shared on his YouTube channel, titled “Here’s What I Think Happened to Greg Biffle’s Plane” Kenny Wallace pointed out that after taking off, the plane might have lost one of its motors and an issue with the flaps might have caused massive drag. While making these claims he reiterated that it just opinion based on his speculations.
I think the plane took off, I think they lost a motor, and then, I guess it started having a lot of drag on it. Yes, we know it should fly just perfectly with one motor…I think that they had a lot of drag on the airplane I think the flaps were down respond right here we’re just have we’re just having a discussion Everybody, you know, may the Lord be with everybody.
Kenny Wallace said via his YouTube channel.
Further talking about the same in the heartfelt discussion, the veteran asserted that a loss motor most probably would have had caused the incident. The drag issue might have forced the piolets to turn around and immediately land the plane. But the drag sue to the flap issue was too much and the plane didn’t make it, taking the life of Greg Biffle, his family and three co-passengers.
This is a very heartfelt discussion. It was such a tragic loss. Everybody wants to know what happened. I think we lost a motor. That’s where all the up and down was taking place. They decide to come back. The flaps are down. We don’t have any horsepower. So, now we’re laying power to it. I think it had a lot of drag and I think it had so much drag and it had they were throttle wide open. Wow. And I think it just didn’t make it. That’s what I think happened.
Kenny Wallace asserted.
Kenny Wallace mourns the tragic loss of the Biffle family
The veteran racer is one of the many that was deeply affected by the tragedy. He used to look up to Biffle as a close ally and more than that a great human being. So, the loss of the ex-racer’s life was a major shock for him.

Further talking about the tragedy on the same video, Kenny Wallace pointed out that all the comments and speculation he made were out of respect. He believes horsepower issue most probably caused the incident.
I think it was just a tragic loss of life. And that’s what I respectfully think would have happened. Now, you respond right here, but you know, the landing gear was down, the flaps were down, and it didn’t have enough horsepower to get to the runway, and it was short. I mean, that’s what I think.
Kenny Wallace said.
The comments from the veteran seems rational, but it’s too early to make any such assertion. The NASCAR community should wait for the final report from the investigation team and shouldn’t believe any theories that is coming out at the moment out of respect for the family of the dead.
