The NASCAR Cup Series race Dover was a disappointing night for Alex Bowman despite a top-10 finish. He failed to maximize on results considering fast car the No:48 Hendrick Motorsports team fielded for him. The fact that he is the only HMS driver left to win a race this season and his winless streak being more than two years make it much harder.

At Dover during the race the frustration boiled over for Alex Bowman, as he had a heated moment with his spotter Kevin Hamlin. Kyle Larson took the Stage 2 win from Bowman by air-blocking and the No:48 Camero ZL1 driver was furious. So, he complained about it on team radio, and Hamlin responded with some bold comment. It ended it the driver asking him to “shut the f**k up.

Now ex-NASCAR driver Kenny Wallace has come forth discussing the incident via his YouTube channel. He pointed out that the spotter was in wrong at the moment and instead of coming back with the comments, he should have just brushed it off and asked Bowman to move on from it and focused on the reminder of the race.

I'm gonna go the other way on this one, because I'm a race car driver. Kevin Hamlin comes back, and gets in Alex's face, which I didn't like. If I'm Kevin Hamlin, I'm saying, 'I hear you Alex. Stay digging buddy, we got a great car.' That's all I would say. But Kevin Hamlin jumps back in his a**.
Kenny Wallace said via his YouTube channel.

Alex Bowman sees the bright side of things at Dover

Despite the disappointments, Alex Bowman sees some positives about the race result at Dover. He believes the consistency and good point finish is a step in the right direction for the No:48 team and hopes to keep the progress on that direction.

But all in all okay day for our ally, 48 team eighth here is. It's pretty bad for me, but I mean it's it's still a good point and a step in the right direction a little more consistency than we've seen so hopefully we can keep plugging away at it.
Alex Bowman said.

The No:48 team still has 15 races left in the regular season to secure a win and mark their spot in the playoffs. Alex Bowman, just like his crew, needs to step up the game and be more efficient and cleaner on the track.
