Patricia Driscoll, the former girlfriend of 2004 NASCAR Cup Series Champion Kurt Busch, has been sentenced for fraud. They dated for four years and had a infamous breakup. She accused Busch of domestic assault which resulted in NASCAR suspending him till he was proven not guilty by the court over lack of evidence.

In 2016, Kurt Busch’s ex-GF was charged with fraud charges and tax evasion following the shutdown of Armed Forces Foundation that year. It was accused that she used AFF’s money to pay her personal bills as well as businesses. She also allegedly transferred funds of the foundation to her personal accounts.

In 2019 She was found guilty of the charges and was sentenced to a one-year in prison. She filed an appeal against the verdict and was able to suspend the sentence and get a new trial n 2021. But now she has received a two-year probation and a fine of $75. According to Fox Sports Bob Pockrass this verdict is because he failed to maintain records of the transfers.

Another set of fans recalled the history of Kurt Busch and Patricia Driscoll, where the current 23XI Racing CFO’s career was almost ruined over cheating allegations. They pointed out that she deserves the sentence and more for the Busch controversy.

Allegations aside, it seems the sentence is harsh enough for the crimes that were committed. The system needs to blamed for it as a fraud case involving a government employee and a mistake from IRS officer in the Driscoll case caused the issue as well.
