Sprint car racing made Hendrick Motorsports’ star driver Kyle Larson that solid driver he is today. The series helped him horn his racing skills in his junior years and gave him a chance at redemption when his career was in a cross roads back in 2020. He still races in the sprint car events and owns his own series with High Limit Racing.
Kyle Larson produced a clinical run this mid-week at Eldora Speedway, as part of HLR race week, to secure his first sprint car win in a long time. After the win, the veteran made some bold comments that saw him unknowingly enter the premier stock car racing series, NASCAR vs Sprint car arcing debate, over which is the toughest league.
Being someone that has won one races as well as championships in both of the series with dominant performances, he is the best racer to solve this debate. He pointed out that many racing fans, most of whom from the NASCAR side, have a misconception about Sprint car racing, with some not even seeing it as a professional series.
It’s hard to describe, and I think a lot of fans see me race on Sundays and they have a misconception of sprint car racing, that this isn’t, you know, professional, and I come ‘down’ to win these races.

But according to the 2021 Cup champion, these individuals are wrong to make this assertion and pointed out that the series gives him the toughest challenge compared to all the racing championships he has started in. Every factor of Sprint car racing, drivers, machine, fans and the sponsors are as professional as any other championship in the USA motorsports scene.
But it is the toughest form of racing I get a chance to be a part of. So, the quality of equipment, the quality of drivers, the fans, everybody involved. Everybody’s, you know, partners and sponsors. This is as professional as it gets for American auto racing.
Kyle Larson asserted.
Kyle Larson is going into Dover with momentum on his side
The No:5 Chevy driver is really excited to go into this weekend’s race at Dover, coming into the weekend following the strong win. He believes the win gives him strong momentum, that could help him to secure a solid result on Sunday.

It’s really cool to come here to an awesome facility. The crowd is just going to get bigger and bigger as the week goes on, and hopefully we can get a few more wins. Give me some momentum to lean into a NASCAR race, finally, this week would be nice.

At the moment, the veteran racer in experiencing a huge mis-season performance slump in the Cup Series. Since his Kansas win, he has secured juts two top-10 finish from eight starts. The road course racing stint has hurt him a lot, as he is consistently getting caught in someone else’s mess and is making unforced errors.
The Monster Mile is one of the best tracks of Kyle Larson’s racing career. From 16 starts over his career, he has won one race, has one pole win to his name and has finished outside the top-10 in just four races ever at the track. He has an average start of 8.2 at the venue, showing superior consistency at the track only a handful can master.
