The 2024 NASCAR Cup season witnessed Kyle Larson producing yet another masterclass performance. The No:5 Hendrick Motorsports driver ended the season with six wins, most of any driver this season, and was the class of the field, as he came close to winning the regular season championship despite missing the Coke 600.
Kyle Larson reflected on his performance this season at the NASCAR Awards ceremony and admitted that the R-8 mistakes cost him the opportunity to win the titles. But he doesn’t think it was a low for him, as he finished the year as the most successful driver giving and it was poor luck that cost him the championhip-4 slot.
He explained that he and the No:5 team has led the most laps in all types of tracks and has won more, making him very proud of their efforts. Kyle Larson is looking forward to keep performing on the same level in the upcoming races.
Kyle Larson explains his NASCAR off-season plans
The 2024 racing season isn’t yet over for Kyle Larson as he has a lot of plans for the off-season. This includes family vacations and racing trips. He is getting set for an Australian trip which would serve as both a vacation as well as a sprint racing trip, and unfortunately the Chevy racer won’t have much time to relax back home.
The stacked schedule shows how much Kyle Larson loves to race and his dedication to developing sprint car racing. It will be interesting to see how the HMS driver will perform in these non-NASCAR races and as well as once the season returns.
