Hendrick Motorsports’ Kyle Larson came into to the Cup race at Darlington with the hopes of repeating his 0.001 second with at Kansas the week before. But fate had another plan for him as he spun out due to a flat tire, with just 40 also left in the race while running inside the top-10. He then went to Indiana High Limit Racing sprint race in hopes redemption only to suffer another disappointment.

Kyle Larson lined-up for challenging race at Kokomo Speedway in the High Limit Racing series, which he co-owns with brother-in-law Bard Sweet, and with five more laps left in race was running P6. He was hoping to get upfront quick and took some extra risks as he usually does come into the backstretch.

But his attempt to slide across Cale Thomas out of Turn 2 wasn’t executed right and he made contact with the No:23 car. While Thomas was sent to the wall, Larson went airborne and started barrel rolling before coming to a stop.  He later admitted that it was his mistake that resulted in the incident.

Kyle Larson reveals his goals in Motorsports

Recently in an interview with NBC Kyle Larson was asked about the goals he has set for himself. In response he pointed out that he doesn’t want to be referred as the greatest NASCAR driver or Sprint car driver. Instead, he wants to be known as someone who is capable to of racing any cars at the top-level and contend for wins.

Not that I don’t want to be just referenced as the greatest NASCAR driver of all time or the greatest sprint car driver of all time, I want to be known as somebody who could climb into all different types of cars and be great at what they do.
Kyle Larson said.

The HMS driver will go down in history as one of the most talented race car drivers in the world if he is able to continue to perform in his current level in different championships. He will soon get over the back-to-back crashes as he has many more races left to prove himself this season.
