The NASCAR Cup Series race at Phoenix witnessed another impressive drive from Joe Gibbs Racing’s Christopher Bell. He won the race, overcoming the tough last lap battle that involved Kyle Larson and Denny Hamlin. It was his third straight win of the 2024 season, making him only the 24th driver in history to have the same streak.
2021 Cup Series champion Kyle Larson, who has been one of the biggest rivals of Christopher Bell since their junior days shared his feelings about the TRD drivers’ victory. After the race at Phoenix, Larson who has had a similar streak in his Cup winning year admitted that it tough to have the streak and declared that it is impressive.
It’s extremely tough to win two in a row, I feel like, in the Next Gen era. For them to win three in a row is really impressive. Their team is just strong. You know, their race cars are really fast.
Kyle Larson said via Fox Sports.
He further asserted that, the Toyota driver is a phenomenal racer. Larson have higher expectations for the star driver as the wins gives the team more confidence while also making the No:20 Toyota team stronger.
Bell is a phenomenal race car driver, obviously. So, you know, the more wins you get, the more confidence you, as well as your team, gets.
Kyle Larson added.
Kyle Larson expects stupid fast Christopher Bell continue the streak
In the same interview, talking about the upcoming race at Vegas, Kyle Larson pointed out that he expects Bell to be stupid fast and also expects his team to be strong at the week after at Homestead. He asserted that having a streak at the start of the season puts them in a good spot.

Yeah, he’s getting to go to Vegas, another track where he’s stupid fast at, and then what is it, Homestead, maybe after that? I don’t know where we go after Homestead, but I’m sure he’ll be fast there, as well. So yeah, it’s good too, to get on a streak this early in the year. He’s won three on the first four. It just set your season up in a good spot.
Kyle Larson added.
The comments from the Hendrick Motorsports veteran shows how much he respects his rival Bell and his racing capability. It would be interesting to see if the No:5 Chevy drivers’ prediction come trues and the No:20 dominate the coming races.
