Kyle Larson is full of controversial hot takes as he delivers yet another shocking statement. While Larson might be one of the better drivers on the current grid, his takes might see him face some untoward backlash. The HMS star has a peculiar aversion towards the infamous Martinsville hot dogs, as he takes a brutal jibe at the fan-favorite food item at the Virginia-based circuit.

Kyle Larson recently made headlines after speaking bluntly against the infamous movie Talladega Nights, starring Will Ferrell. Although the movie, released in 2006, helped bring NASCAR to a wider audience, he talked about the movie portraying the sport and its drivers as a ‘joke’. Now, the 2021 Cup Series champion shares his blunt-but-brutal take on Martinsville Hot Dogs.

Speaking about food in general, Kyle Larson accepted that when it came to track-specific food, Martinsville was rather famous for its hot dogs. Many people have talked about the infamous food item and their love towards it, which wasn’t mutual for Larson. The 33-year-old candidly spoke about his hate towards the Hot Dogs and revealed the reason why.

Kyle Larson declared that he personally thought the Martinsville hot dogs were ‘disgusting’ for some reason. When pushed further, Larson insisted that he didn’t know the exact reason behind it, but the color and presentation of the hot dogs weren’t his favorite. He questioned whether the food was dipped in food coloring or not, but they were shockingly red for a food that wasn’t supposed to be that color.

I would say for like track-specific food, like Martinsville is known for their hot dogs, I think they’re disgusting. They’re like, I don’t know, they’re like, I don’t know if there’s like color dye in them, but they’re like red.

Jeff Gluck sides with Kyle Larson, labels the Martinsville hot dogs as ‘cancer sticks’

Kyle Larson wasn’t the only one who felt so strongly against the unnatural color and taste of the Martinsville hot dogs. Infamous NASCAR insider, Jeff Gluck, revealed that he, too, felt similarly to Larson on the food item at the Virginia circuit. Gluck one-upped the HMS star and provided a hilarious title for the infamous hot dogs at the Martinsville circuit.

Jeff Gluck revealed that he disagreed with Kyle Larson and his take on the Talladega Nights movie. But he failed to understand why Larson’s hate towards Martinsville Hot Dogs was controversial at all. Gluck insisted that they were ‘cancer sticks’ which had a completely unnatural color. The 44-year-old further pointed out that people needed to consume the hot dogs at their own risk since they stained the bun pink as well.

I disagreed with his Talladega Nights take, but I’m confused why this is controversial at all, Those cancer sticks are a completely unnatural color. They stain the bun pink! Consume at your own risk.
