The former No:24 team is hailed as the main reason behind HMS becoming the greatest NASCAR tam in the history of the sport. On and off the track he made contribution only a few could match. I had never been crew chief. He kind of gave me this opportunity. He calls me into his office and he sits me down and he says, “Hey man, listen. I know you’re ready for this, you’re going to be great. What I need you to do is treat me like everyone else.” It’s the best advice I could never take. He wanted to be held accountable, he wanted to be pushed.
Steve Letarte said.

The accomplishments they have together proved how much their dynamic changed because that interaction and how it helped him. The impressive humility of Godon is one of the many characters that Kyle Larson and many more respect him for.
