23XI Racing has established themselves as a championship contender within just four years in the sport and a lot of credit should go to team owner and NBA legend Michael Jordan. He didn’t just help the team financially, but he attended races supporting his team every time he possibly could.  He witnessed his team first win live at Talladega and had another opportunity do the same at Michigan.

With Bubba Wallace and Tyler Reddick having strong cars on Sunday, he was hoping for one, but the rain ruined his plan and made him mis the race that was postponed to Monday. He missed a masterful performance and victory by Reddick in the No:45 Camry. Ex-NASCAR driver Kyle Petty shared his verdict on the whole ordeal on his show for NASCAR’s YouTube channel and he started with applauding 23XI’s rise.

23XI, seemingly out of nowhere, four years old, is now poised to take the regular season championship against a Penske, against a Hendrick, against a Roush, against a Gibbs, against these teams that are established.
Kyle Petty said via NASCAR on YouTube.

He went on to point out that the team and the owner deserves the praise for the improvement they have made. He then shared his disappointment in not seeing Michael Jordan remaining in Michigan on Monday to see Reddick on the victory lane and join him three.

These guys have done a phenomenal job. Tip of the hat to Denny Hamlin and Michael Jordan who by the way, shouldn’t have left yesterday or he had been back in Victory Lane.

NASCAR insider has high hopes for Tyler Reddick

The Athletic reporter and podcaster Jordan Bianchi has come out praising the No:45 driver for his impressive win and the superb form he has been in so far this season. This consistency puts him as a solid championship contender according to Bianchi as well as Reddick’s boss Denny Hamlin.

I think now that he’s the championship points leader, that elevates your status…That adds more credence to it. And I think Denny Hamlin had a really good point in his postrace press conference when he said, ‘Hey, this is Week 24. You don’t lead the standings at Week 24 on a fluke.’ This isn’t early season, and you just had a couple good races, whatever. This is sustained consistency week in and week out.
Jordan Bianchi said via The Teardown podcast.

Tyler Reddick has been the best driver in the last five races and him finishing every race since Darlington better than P8 shows the hot streak he is. In. If the team can continue to perform on the same level, it won’t be huge surprise if he went on to win the regular season and the main championship.
