NASCAR’s legal battle against Front Row Motorsports and Michael Jordan‘s 23XI Racing is not going to stop anytime soon. In the latest hearing over the fight for Cup charters, the sport allegedly leaked a conversation between Jordon and business partner Curtis Polk.

Currently, 23XI Racing and Front Row Motorsports are engaged in a legal battle over their charters in the Cup Series. The two teams refused to sign the new charter agreements, claiming that NASCAR was exploiting a monopoly. This has led to persistent challenges in court, with the two garages being stripped of their charter status for now.

In the recent hearing, NASCAR leaked a text chain between Michael Jordan and Curtis Polk. The texts allegedly are from 2023 when the two discussed buying another charter. Jordon mentioned that he was willing to pay a certain amount for the charter.

This was rejected by Polk who reckoned that spending that redacted amount would be like pouring money down the drain. However, the NBA legend claimed that he had lost such sums in casinos in the past, and he could spend it once again.

I will do it at [redacted] million. See if Toyota will support us if decide to keep him for 2025 or we are able to get a charter… I have lost that in a casino. Lets do it.

Leaked texts expose Michael Jordan and Denny Hamlin

23XI Racing is co-owned by Michael Jordan and NASCAR icon Denny Hamlin. The two have built the team together with the support of Joe Gibbs Racing and Toyota. While the legal battle continues, NASCAR has managed to make big claims with the alleged texting chains.

During the hearing, Michael Jordan’s texts showed him calling Joe Gibbs Racing a profane term. JGR is the technical supporter of 23XI Racing. However, the NBA legend was unhappy to see the team not join 23XI in the lawsuit against NASCAR. On the other hand, Denny Hamlin seemingly stated that he despised NASCAR’s historic owners, the France family.

Lots of spice in courtroom today including Michael Jordan calling JGR “F——“ in 23XI text chain for signing charters and other teams “P——“ … Denny Hamlin, in a text, said his “despise of the France family runs deep.

The alleged leaked texts certainly don’t do any favors for Michael Jordan or his team. NASCAR is making its case stronger over not wanting to do business with 23XI and FRM. Though, the court will decide on whether NASCAR can sell their charters next week
