The thing with Kyle is he is one of the most talented drivers in the world. I expect him to get used to it very quickly. We had a test here a couple of weeks ago and he was already second fastest. He will be right in the mix. I expect him to be hard to beat but it’s great for our sport, in general. He comes over and puts even more spotlight on the Indy 500.

Kyle Larson has had solid practice in the IndyCar already

The No:5 Chevy driver participated in the rookie orientation at Indy last season and this year at Phoenix he was able to have another solid practice session. He was even able to rack up a top-5 finish in terms of fastest laps at Phoenix as well. Larson hopes continue the form in the coming sessions as well.

I could move on to the next thing, like all right, ‘Now how does it look like around cars? How does what I’ve learned in the past translate to now being behind cars? I’m fortunate that I was able to do (orientation) last year and then be allowed to run that little bit at Phoenix. I think it’s definitely going to help.

The 2024 season so far has been strong for Kyle Larson, as he has already secured a playoff berth with a win in the Cup series. He also has the momentum from his Sprint race wins backing him as well. It would be interesting to see how good he can perform at Indy.
