Though 2024 NASCAR Cup season saw Kyle Larson yet again placing himself in a pedestal with his consistent dominant runs. But unfortunately, he couldn’t convert that to a championship win, as three times Champion Joey Logano pulled off a late dominant run in the playoff to win the Bill France Cup.

Regardless of the results, a significant portion of the racing community sees him as the bets racer of last season and his impressive Indy 500 run, alongside triumphs in the sprint car series just gives more support to this argument. Hall of Famer Mark Martin, in a recent interview with Chase Holden explained how much he cherishes the champion drivers and his performance as a fan.

He admitted that he is kind of a fan boy to the No:5 Hendrick Motorsports driver and sees him as a once in a generation talent. Martin also asserted that the fans are privileged to witness the glory of the 2021 Cup champion. The 66-year-old is right to hail Kyle Larson, as since joining HMS in 2021, Larson has been the among the top 3 fastest drivers almost every race week.

One feature that define Mark Martin as a person is his fandom of pop-star Gucci Mane. He has been the fan of the rapper for many years and over the years they have built a friendship that got him featured in the song “GOAT.” He revealed to Chase Holden how they build a friendship and how he got in the song.

I’m a fanboy for Gucci Mane. So, Barstool Sports did a thing with me, and they were intrigued about the Gucci Mane thing. I had a pretty good little rant going on that thing, and that video went everywhere… Months later, I get a text message saying (from Barstool Sports), ‘Hey, I don’t it’s going to happen or not, but you may be featured on one of Gucci’s tracks.

Gucci Mane went to Twitter, when Martin was inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame and even got a special message via Instagram as well. They also have had some conversation among the years and Martin really wants the rapper to come to a NASCAR race with him.
