The NASCAR garage is confused and stunned by all the drama that was unfolded this Sunday at Martinsville. The race featured six desperate drivers going all out for the remaining two spots in the Champonship-4. Ryan Blaney won the race and secured his spot in the finale, while William Byron got lucky and secured the last spot.

NASCAR Hall of Famer Mark Martin seems really disappointed with how race played out and how the playoff system has caused the whole drama. Christopher Bell was disqualified by NASCAR after the race, after he pulled of a wall-ride on the last lap. He was more of a victim of circumstances as the incident occurred because he got into the wall after entering the corner with too much speed.

We have a shit show here.

The race manipulation allegation from Bell on Ross Chastain and Austin Dillon, who blocked others from closing in on Byron, makes the situation more dramatic. The No:20 Toyota driver might be guilty of coalition as well, as his TRD teammate Bubba Wallace suddenly slowed down at the end of the race, just before the wall ride.

William Byron confesses the race finish was weird

Hendrick Motorsports’ William Byron who was obviously the driver that had the best luck at the end of the race, admitted in his post-race interview that it had dramatic event he has ever been part of. He admitted that he is really happy with the result for his team, but at the same time hate it for rest of the grid.

Yeah, I’ve never been a part of anything like this, so I don’t really know how to feel. I hate it for everyone involved, but I’m happy for this No. 24 Chevy team. I’m happy for us moving on, and we’ll go on and focus on Phoenix.

William Byron said.

The No:24 Chevy team will quickly move on from the drama as they now have a championship to fight for on next Sunday at Phoenix. The whole HMS garage would be on his side to make it a reality and it will be interesting to see how they will perform.
