Michael Jordan’s 23XI Racing is in war with NASCAR on the court, alleging monopolistic practices. This legal battle has put the teams’ future in a huge uncertainty as NASCAR has already announced the teams will not have charters for the 2025 season. The drama might also cause some issues with Martin Truex Jr.’s Daytona 500 entry for next season.
The Joe Gibbs Racing veteran is set to retire at the end of the 2024 season but doesn’t want to cease racing. So, he has a deal with 23XI that gives him car for Daytona. Ahead of the Las Vegas race Martin Truex Jr. addressed the possibility of the charter wars affecting his plans. He asserted that he doesn’t exactly know what will happen and the decision is on the team.
I should probably only have one so I don’t know. I don’t own a car so it’s going to be depending on a lot of people to figure it out. So, hopefully, a couple of Xfinity races and the Daytona 500. We’ll see.
Martin Truex Jr. said via Fox Sports.
He asserted that as far he knows the plan is still on and added that there is some uncertainty, as things can change faster than ever in NASCAR. The only good sign they have at the moment is the contract that have signed for 2025 Daytona 500.
As far as I know, as far as I know. … I mean as far as I know it’s all going still. I think we’re good. You never know these days, things change in a hurry, right? A lot going on like you said, I have no clue. But I feel confident I have a contract so that’s a good sign, right?

You know as a kid or as a young driver coming up that’s your dream right that to win the Championship in a cup series. Didn’t have the best car all night but got the lead at the end when we needed to the pit crew did that and I was able to hold him off thinking back to all the things I have been lucky enough to accomplish, that is one of the things that stick out the most.
Martin Truex Jr. said.
The No:18 Toyota driver is determined end his final season in the spot on a high. The only thing remaining for him to do this season is to win a race. He has just three more races to do it and it will be disappointing if he failed to do so.
