Truex Jr. is one of the most accomplished drivers in the NASCAR history. The 44-year-old made his Cup Series debut ion 2006 with Dale Earnhardt Inc. after winning back-to-back Xfinity Series titles with the second-tier team of Earnhardt’s. He had to wait over decade though to establish himself as a serial winner in the Cup Series, as he never really got the opportunity with the best team till then.

Till 2014 he had just two Cup race wins, but since then in the last ten seasons he has won 32 Cup Series races including the championship with FRM in 2017. He has also finished P2 in the championship twice in the same time period. Unfortunately, he hasn’t won a race so far this season and will be looking forward to win at least one before ending his career.

Chase Briscoe might replace Martin Truex Jr. at SHR

According to reports from Fox Sports the primary candidate to replace Martin Truex Jr. at Joe Gibbs Racing will be former Xfinity Series champion with Stewart Haas Racing, Chase Briscoe. He is currently the leading Cup racer at SHR.

He is the biggest profiled racer that is available in the market for 2025 with SHR ceasing it’s operations at the end of the season. Landing him won’t be an easy job for JGR as multiple teams are interested in signing him.

There are alps reports that suggest, Briscoe’s SHR teammate Noah Gragson has also made the short list. He is a former TRD driver and that gives him an edge. But his prior beef with Ty Gibbs is a big negative factor as well.
