The death of yet another NASCAR driver at a low age of 39 years old has sent shivers down the community. Michael Annett has recently passed away, with no public information available yet about his sad demise.
He had participated in all three series of NASCAR and even achieved a race win with Dale Earnhardt Jr‘s JR Motorsports in the Xfinity Series. Certainly, it is currently a sad day in the sport as Annett’s death has drawn attention from many people throughout the world, offering him and the family some condolences.
Michael Annett participated in the NASCAR Cup Series from 2014 to 2016 and achieved multiple great results. Though he couldn’t quite bring home the race win in the Cup Series, he tasted victory in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series (formerly Xfinity Series). Annett ran a total of 321 races in Xfinity, with 158 of them being with Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s JR Motorsports team.
Notably, Michael Annett picked up his first and only victory at the Daytona International Speedway with JRM back in 2019. Regardless of the on-track results, Annett was one of the more popular and loved drivers, and his multiple years in the sport proved his racing mettle.
However, his tragic passing away has surely shocked everyone within the community, with many resorting to social media to send love and prayers to the family. The reason behind the shocking passing away hasn’t been released to the public yet. Michael Annett’s final race in NASCAR was back in 2021 at the season finale in Phoenix.
A stress fracture in his femur rendered him unable to participate in any professional motorsport after his exit, before his untimely death arrived recently. Thoughts and prayers to his family and hope they find peace and strength to move on from this huge loss and go on with their regular lives as soon as possible.

Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s JRM offers condolences to Michael Annett
Michael Annett was an integral part of JR Motorsport as he raced for more than 100 races under Dale Earnhardt Jr‘s constructor. Annett’s victory remains one of the highest moments for the team in the Xfinity Series, and his work with the team helped them lay the foundation stone to their recent successes. As such, JRM takes to social media and offers their condolences to the dearly departed soul.

In a tweet on X, JR Motorsport sent their thoughts and prayers to Michael Annett’s family as they steer through a very difficult and challenging phase in their life. The team pointed out that Annett remained a key member of JRM ever since he joined in 2017 and retired in 2021. Moreover, the team reflected that the departed soul helped them turn into a four-car organization that they are to this day in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series.

Certainly, NASCAR will honor Michael Annett in the upcoming races, and everyone around will definitely keep him alive in their hearts. Annett is survived by his parents and siblings, though his marital record is unknown to the public.
