Tyler Reddick ended 23XI Racing winless streak on Sunday at Talladega. The No:45 Toyota Camry driver took advantage of a last laps wreck involving Michael McDowell and Brad Keselowski, to cross the finish line first. Reddick celebrated his maiden Superspeedway win with his family and the whole 23XI Racing squad in the victory lane.

NBA legend Michael Jordan, who is the co-owner of 23XI Racing, was a key presence at the victory lane. It was the TRD teams’ first win with Jordan at the pit box and it was more special with the No:45 Camry carrying the Nike Air Jordan paint scheme. Denny Hamlin and Jordan embracing each other and celebrating together for the first time together on victory lane was a special moment.

On the pit-road Jordan shared an wholesome moment with Reddick’s son Beau. The Basketball legend held the four-year-old in his hand at the victory lane and asked him laughing ” He did a great job. You going to celebrate?”. The youngster responded “yeah” with an innocent smile. Hearing this Jordan bursts out laughing before handing him back to Reddick’s girlfriend Alexa.

Denny Hamlin, after the race talked to the media about the moment the duo shared. He pointed out that the 4-year-old doesn’t know the significance of the moments he just shared. It would something to brag about for a long-time once Beau becomes big enough to understand the situation.

Tyler Reddick responded to the special moment

In his post-race press-conference Reddick was asked about the moment. He pointed out that Beau knows who Michael Jordan and added that he it means a lot for him to have those moments. The racer added that once his son get older he would really get an idea about how cool the moment is.

He knows who Michael Jordan is. Any time I have a pair of Jordans on or he does, I always ask the question: Whose shoes are these? He says Michael Jordan’s shoes. So yeah I think in the moment, it means a lot, right? But as he gets older and everything too, looking back on that, that’s gonna be really, really cool.

The moments they have shared on the pit-road together shows the team dynamic and culture at the 23XI Racing. The team will be hoping continue securing more win and fight for the championships with Tyler Reddick and Bubba Wallace.
