Denny Hamlin explained what led to the crash
After the race was postponed Hamlin talk to the media and explained what went wrong at the moment. He pointed out that he got caught in a bad aero spot and it resulted in him spinning out. The Toyota driver also revealed that his car has a little underbody damage and don’t know how this would affect his race tomorrow.
Well it is in those type of scenarios, I made a move there thinking maybe I could get to – I saw Bubba was a little weak off Turn 4 but right there, I just got into a bad aero spot and it happened so quick. Yeah, now I’ve just got a little extra time to think about my sins behind the car over the next while we’re trying to get this. It has a little damage on the underbody, I don’t know how much of an effect it will have.
Denny Hamlin said.
The damage to the No:11 doesn’t seem to be much, so the veteran does have the chance to get back to the top and attempt to secure the win tomorrow. It would be interesting to see how the race would playout between Wallace, Hamlin and Larson on Monday.
