Female racer and social media personality Natalie Decker was set to make her second start of the 2024 NASCAR Xfinity Season. She was supposed to make an appearance at Talladega with the DGM Racing No:36 Chevy team. The streamer was also on the entry list for the event as well, before the announcement was made about the withdrawal.

Natalie Decker couldn’t make it into the race weekend because NASCAR hasn’t yet approved her sponsor that DGM has signed with for the event. She took it to X to share her view on the disappointing situation and pointed out that her name coming in the entry list was a mistake and she was aired informed about the withdrawal.

I was on the entry list for Talladega in the 36 with DGM Racing because we had a sponsor pending approval from NASCAR. The plan was to go racing in Talladega but the sponsor was not approved that is why I am not racing this weekend.  We knew this information a few days before the entry list was released but mistakes happen and my name was accidentally still on there.

She went on to admit that she is sad because of the fact that, she was denied an opportunity to showcase her skills once again. Decker also pointed out that there will be some exciting news coming from her side soon as well,

Natalie Decker reveals her feelings about being disrespected for her looks

One of the usual criticism the female NASCAR racers often gets is that, they don’t have to work as hard as their male counterparts to land the ride. For Decker, who is also model, this criticism is ever-present and often it leads people overlooking her accomplishments or disrespecting her.

Recently in a talk with ex-NASCAR racer Kenny Wallace, the racer was asked the same. She pointed out that the looks argument often leads to disrespect and asserted that it’s similar for any woman of different field. Decker now takes these comments in a positive way and as a compliment and it help her to escape the negativity some brings in.

If it like I said like gets in the way but it definitely is talked about a lot like my looks are always talked about it's always oh you know she's only there because she's pretty or she's only has that ride because she's a girl and it doesn't matter what career you're in. I've talked to many successful women in many different career paths and all women get that and I this year decided that I'm just going to take that as a compliment.

NASCAR hasn’t yet rejected her application for approval for the sponsor, it is just pending. If Decker’s crew able to get the paper work done they can came back strong in the coming races and there are still three more Superspeedway Xfinity races she can choose from left.
