In his post-race interaction with SiriusXM NASCAR, Denny Hamlin said that he didn’t see the incident. He added he assumes it to be substantial. Hamlin labeled it as a driver to a driver issue and said he doesn’t want to get in the middle of it. He pointed out that since he is friends with both drivers, he encourages them to talk to each other.

I didn’t see it. Everyone has asked me about it. I’m assuming it’s substantial. Those things are usually driver-to-driver issues. I don’t usually get in the middle of it. I’m friends with both of them so I’d just encourage both of them to talk to each other,” Denny Hamlin said.

Denny Hamlin went on to talk about his race day and pointed out that he expected a better finish at Vegas. He added that it was a pretty decent run from him considering he started the race at p31. Hamlin pointed out that a bad pit stop at the end did cost him some positions.

Honestly, I thought we were going to be a little bit better than we were today but starting 31st and getting a top-five in the second stage and top-five for the race is pretty decent. We just had one bad stop there at the end that kind of took away our track position, but we got most of that back,” says Denny Hamlin .
