The fans will be expecting hardcore racing from the 1.25-mile oval which has very different turns compared to other tracks which bring in the element of efficient shifting for the drivers to overcome.
Going into the race the Hendrick Motorsports team will be in with high hopes as the team which has won one-third of all the races so far this season so far has been in a dry run since the monster mile win of Chase Elliott. Alex Bowman who inherited Jimmie Johnson’s iconic No:48 car has been among the most consistent driver of this season after he ‘backed into his first win’ behind the wheels of Next-Gen cars in Las Vegas at the beginning of the season. Bowman so far has bagged ten top 10 finishes this season of which three were Top 5 finishes including the Vegas win. Following his Darlington slip up to Top 30 Bowman secured 2 consecutive top 10 finishes and will be hoping to repeat that in WWTR.
Now Alex Bowman has come forth expressing his opinions on his consistency, the coming inaugural race at Gateway, and the need of securing some more wins towards the end of this season.
