Alex Bowman won’t return to No:48 before the season finale

Alex Bowman will not return to the track before the season finale. Hendrick Motorsports has announced that he won’t race in the Round of 8. His plans for a return in the championship four race will be evaluated before the event.

Alex Bowman suffered concussion-like symptoms at the chaotic Texas race. Though the crash was a regular one, the impact was severe enough to rule him out. Noah Gregson drove the No:48 Ally Camaro ZL1 in the last two races of Round 12.

Alex Bowman was the second driver to miss races this season due to a concussion. 23X1 Racing veteran Kurt Busch has been out since his Pocono qualifying crash. He was ruled out of the playoff. Bowman lost his chance to progress to the round of 8 after failing to compete in the remaining playoff round 2 races.
