Bubba Wallace

Luck doesn’t seem to be coming close to the No:23 Toyota Camry driver of 23X1 Racing driver Bubba Wallace in 2022 as he witnessed his yet another run again going to waste after a pit stop mishap. This is the fourth time this season Bubba Wallace is facing costly consequences from the bad decision-making of his crew chief. The sole full-time African-American racer on the track saw his day scrambling down in COTA, in the AdventHealth 400, the Coco-cola 600, and his sudden end to the race day at Sonoma a couple of weeks ago.

Bubba Wallace had a solid start to the race weekend as he was able to finish as the fastest car on track on Friday’s practice which he failed to repeat in the pace in the qualifying as he was only able to secure a P30 start at the grid. But with the dominating package, Toyota brought over to Nashville Wallace had a few things coming his way but it didn’t last long as he was caught up in a loss wheel situation once more and was hit from behind by Tyler Reddick after the Nio:23 driver suddenly made a stop following the order from crew chief Bootie Barker who told him “stop, stop, stop,” when he was at P6.

Though the crew was able to get the car back on track and get it ready to race again the damage was already done as he wasn’t quite able to get the same pace following the incident. Wallace though made a comeback and finished P12 following the final restart but it’s really disappointing considering the pace he had and Kurt Busch his teammate finishing P2.
