Bubba Wallace has been in the line of severe criticism following his confrontation with Kyle Larson at Las Vegas. The 23X1 Racing driver shoved the Hendrick Motorsports driver multiple times. Kyle Larson remained calm during the exchange. NASCAR officials had to intervene to de-escalate the situation.
Bubba Wallace nearly started a fistfight after Kyle Larson’s move to overtake him for P4 backfired as he send the No:45 to the wall. Wallace retaliated and wrecked Larson to the grass. He then charged at the No:5 driver and confronted him.
Bubba Wallace has now come forward offering an apology to Kyle Larson and NASCAR fans for his action. He also apologized to his Toyota teammate Christopher Bell who was caught up in the mess and retired from the race.

Bubba Wallace apologized for his on-field action in Vegas
Bubba Wallace apologized for his action and said it does not represent the core values shared by his partners and 23X1 Racing. He said, “I want to apologize for my actions on Sunday following the on-track incident with Kyle Larson and the No. 5 car. My behavior does not align with the core values that are shared by 23XI Racing and our partners, who have played a crucial role in my incredible journey to the top of this great sport,”.
Bubba Wallace extended his apology to Christopher Bell who was the collateral damage of his retaliation. He said, “I want to apologize to NASCAR and the fans, along with Christopher Bell, Joe Gibbs Racing, and Toyota for putting them in a situation in the Playoffs that they do not deserve. compete with immense passion, and with passion at times comes frustration,”.
Bubba Wallace reiterated that he should have represented his team better. He added that he will learn from it. Wallace said, “Upon reflecting, I should have represented our partners and core team values better than I did by letting my frustrations follow me outside of the car. You live and learn, and I intend to learn from this,”.

Fans on Twitter had mixed reactions to Bubba Wallace’s apology. Some fans pointed out that an apology from Bubba to Larson is not enough and even accused him of trying to kill Larson. Some claimed that Bubba doesn’t need to apologize. There were also some personal attacks aimed at Bubba Wallace.
