ARCA Menards driver Daniel Dye faces suspension following his arrest

Daniel Dye competes full-time in the ARCA Menards Series with GMS Racing. Dye is currently under suspension for attacking a student and hitting him in the groin area. This incident took place in the Father Lopez Catholic High School in Daytona Beach followed by his arrest by the local police.

He is currently charged with felony battery which means the intentional touch or hitting of a person against their own will which ends up causing fatal injuries or major disfigurements. He was later released after undertaking a fine of $2500 from the Volusia County Jail.

Daniel’s team GMS Racing issued a statement that said that the organization is well aware of the situation of Dye and added that he and his family are cooperating with the local law enforcement and more details will be revealed as the investigation proceeds.

“GMS Racing is aware of the current situation surrounding Daniel Dye. Daniel and the Dye family are cooperating with local law enforcement. No further comment will be made on the subject until more information becomes available,” stated GMS Racing.

Daniel Dye currently stands 2nd in the points table having won one race and has achieved two top5 finishes out of the three hosted ARCA Menards Series races.
