“Best is ahead of us,” Kyle Larson extends his HMS contract till 2026

Kyle Larson has signed a 3-year contract extension with Hendrick Motorsports. The 2021 cup champion will drive the No:5 car until 2026. Kyle Larson’s sponsors Hendrickcars.com has also extended their contract with the team and the driver. This will see them sponsor the champion’s NASCAR and non-NASCAR ventures until 2026.
Kyle Larson signed for Hendrick Motorsports in 2021 following a one-year suspension for the usage of a racial slur during a NASCAR event. Larson took the opportunity for redemption with both hands as he secured the championship win in his maiden season the No:5 team amassing 10 race wins.
The 2022 season so far has been fruitful for the defending champion. Though he hasn’t been as dominant as she was in 2021 Larson was able to secure two wins this season and currently sits 27 points clear of the cut-off to progress to the next round.

Rick Hendrick points out that when Kyle Larson joined the team, he was expected to be big. He added that Larson exceeded the expectation so far. The HMS owner suggests that Larson has proven himself to be a champion in and out of the car. He added that he expects bright years for the team with the extended relationship.
“When Kyle joined our team, the expectations were sky high from both inside and outside the organization. To say he’s exceeded them would be an understatement. Not only has Kyle proven himself as a champion driver, but he’s also performed at a championship level outside of the race car,” Rick Hendrick said.
“We’re proud to continue our relationship and to see him represent our team and our brands in such positive ways. The years to come are very bright,” Rick Hendrick added.

Kyle Larson acknowledged that the opportunity meant a lot to him. He added that he has the chance to drive for the best team with the best sponsors, something every driver dreams of. He added that he is humbled by the support of fans and the individuals around him.
“I can’t explain how much this opportunity means. The chance to compete for the top team and best sponsors in racing is something every driver dreams about. I’m humbled to have incredible people in my corner and amazing support from so many fans,” Kyle Larson said.
Kyle Larson went on to express his gratitude to the Hendrick Motorsports family and his No:5 crew. The champion added that though they did some great things so far the best is yet to come from him for the team.
“Thanks to everyone at Hendrick Motorsports and Hendrick Automotive Group for believing in me, Cliff, and our team. Even though we’ve done some great things so far, I truly believe our best is ahead of us,” Kyle Larson added.
