‘Big Kimi fan’ Ryan Blaney applauds the ‘brilliant; announcement from Trackhouse racing, the PROJECT91 as he awaits for the chance to race with Kimi Raikkonen

Trackhouse Racing has been making waves around the NASCAR scene in the past couple of years as the team which is just two years old has established itself as among the teams to watch out for. The Pitbull and Justin Marks owned team in their aim to get NASCAR into new highs announced their new plan the PROJECT91 which will see world motor racing champions from different seeress making their cup series debut.
The first entry to the NASCAR via PROJECT91 will be the retired Formula 1 champion Kimi Raikkonen as he will make his cup debut in the upcoming Watkins Cup series race driving the Trackhouse Racings No:91 Chevy Camaro ZL1. Trackhouse Racings’ efforts to international surely is in the right path considering the intense fan following he has on and off the racing track.
Team Penske superstar Ryan Blaney who secured his first win behind the wheels of Next-Gen cars at Texas last weekend in the All-Star race will hit the Coco-Cola 600 this weekend was asked about what are his thoughts on Kimi Raikkonen making his Cup debut with Trackhouse to which he replied that he is looking forward to it.

Ryan Blaney acknowledged that he is big fan of the ‘Ice Man’ Kimi Raikkonen as he enjoyed growing up watching the former F1 world champion in the Formula 1 tracks. He went on to say that he also remembers watching former Ferrari Man racing for Kyle Busch Motorsports in the Truck series. Ryan Blaney went on to say he believes it’s really cool announcement made by Trackhouse Racing as they want to give drivers from different race backgrounds a chance to race at the cup Series.
“Yeah, the Ice Man. I am a big Kimi fan. I enjoyed growing up watching him race F1 and I remember when he ran a truck for Kyle (Busch). It is really cool. Honestly, I think what Trackhouse did with announcing that was brilliant. I think it is a great idea, especially for however many races they want to run that third car and have some other drivers in it. I think that is really cool,” Ryan Blaney said.
He went on to say its is great for NASCAR as a sport that drivers from other seeress want to come and have a go at the Cup Series. Ryan Blaney went on to add that he feels its going to cool and healthy to talk with Kimi though he doesn’t know how much he will speak with me. He went on to acknowledge that he doesn’t think Kimi is some who will speak to much but it will be cool and awesome to race with him.
“I don’t mind. I think it is great that drivers from other series want to come try out NASCAR. I think it is awesome for the sport. I think it is healthy and it is going to be really cool to get to speak with him. I don’t know how many words he will say to me. He doesn’t seem like a guy of many words. It is just cool. I think it is awesome. We will see how he does. It will be fun,” Ryan Blaney added.
