The NASCAR Cup Series operates based on a well-established charter system that works as the basis for revenue sharing between teams and the sanctioning body. The current deal with the 36 teams is set to expire at the end of the 2026 season, and NASCAR needs to sign a new and improved deal with the teams for 2025 and beyond.
But it is a challenging task, as with the new TV deal NASCAR has signed, the team has demanded a better deal for them. The new broadcasting deal, valid for seven years starting from 2025, will give NASCAR $7.7 billion. Teams are seeking a bigger piece of the pie they are getting as their primary source of revenue; the sponsorship deals need some help.

Brad Keselowski, the 2023 NASCAR Cup champion, recently gave his opinion. The RFK Racing co-owner pointed out that a new one has yet to be signed, and both parties need to have a conversation regarding the same in the next couple of months and figure out a deal both can agree on.
Yeah, I mean that’s to be determined. You know, there’s a lot more steps to go and those will hopefully play out in the next 30 to 60 days, but I think we’ll have to get in the room and we’ll get out our arm wrestling mat and we’ll figure it out. But I think we can figure it out.Keselowski said via PRN’s Garage Pass.
Brad Keselowski has big plans for RFK Racing
Keselowski recently revealed RFK Racing’s plans to expand the team. They are now a two-team operation that races only in the NASCAR Cup Series. The veteran wants the team to tackle the world of road course racing.

The ex-Team Penske Racing driver wants his team to race with the Next-Gen car in IMSA Road Course events. He believes that since NASCAR has made a car with solid road racing capabilities, it must be detested at IMSA tracks.
The team also has plans to expand its operations from a two-car team to a three-car team, and as the first step, they have already announced an extra car for the 2024 season opener at Daytona. David Ragan is set to drive the car nicknamed the Stage 60.
