Bubba Wallace and Kyle Larson has shared some of wild moments on the track over the years. Sunday’s race at Richmond saw one such moment when the 23XI Racing driver spun out his Hendrick Motorsports’ counterpart on the penultimate scheduled lap of the Cup race and NASCAR called caution.
It was a race-result changing moment as it was sent to overtime. Bubba Wallace’s team owner Denny Hamlin, took advantage of the situation as he won the race beating his teammate Martin Truex Jr. with some questionable moves on the restart. Kyle Larson was able to bounce back to secure a P3 while the Toyota driver has a botched-up pit-stop and missed out on top-10.
Wallace took responsibility of the crash. He grabbed Larson who was giving post-race interview and apologized to him, insisting it wasn’t intentional. The 2021 Cup champion had a big smile on his place and didn’t seem concerned about the incident. This might be due to fact that the No:5 Chevy getting lose on the corner was also a reason for the incident.
It wasn’t intentional, I hope you know that. I got loose and corrected into you. It netted you and karma’s a ****** *****. It caught up to me. So sorry about that. Whatever’s coming my way, I know it. I expect it.Bubba Wallace told Kyle Larson.

Bubba didn’t have to say sorry. It was a racing incident. Larson got loose front of Bubba. But good sportsmanship though.

Unpopular takeaway. Bubba used the cameras to his advantage, Kyle looked uncomfortable.

Bubba Wallace did the right thing by apologizing and ending any new potential beef that would’ve sprouted. Larson also showed his class with accepting the apology with a big smile on his face. Such moments between drivers should happen more and should set the president for the future.
