23XI Racing driver Bubba Wallace has pointed out that he will not take his foot off the gas if he gets stopped from the 2023 post-season. He is determined to finish the best Cup season of his career on a high note. Wallace is nine points off the cut-line going into the final R-12 race of the season.
He needs to run the whole race upfront, secure a top-10 finish, and hope for bad luck from rivals to make it out. But Road Courses has never been a track suited for Wallace. He hasn’t won a Road Course race in his NASCAR career and isn’t a contender for a top-10 finish, unlike his teammate Tyler Reddick, who has a genuine shot at winning the race on the same car.
Wallace has pointed out that he plans to make full use of the car and momentum he has in the coming races by fighting a P5 finish in the point table if he gets eliminated from the post-season at ROVAL. He admitted that it would take a big fight to achieve his goal, but it would be a huge accomplishment, considering he finished P19 in points last year.
“If we get knocked out? We still have a chance of making a hellacious run to get it up to 5th in points. It’s going to take a lot of work. But it’s not like your season’s over with. So, we have to continue to fight. Looking forward to ending the season on a high note. This has been our best season yet. So we have to stay on the gas and make the most of it,” Wallace said, as reported by NBC-TMJ4.

Bubba Wallace is planning to make his Scholarship Fund bigger and better
The two-time Cup race winner also explained his plan for the ‘Live to Be Different Scholarship Fund’. He admitted that its efforts have slowed down a bit this season and says he is now trying to make it bigger and better. He promises to try doing something big in 2024 after completing an impact around the holidays for the families.
“We’re actually trying to look at how we can make it bigger and better, and so kind of slowed down a little bit this year. But still going to make an impact around the holidays to provide for families that necessarily don’t have what it takes to make ends meet,” Wallace said.
“So we’re kind of that middle ground, the middle man, having a helping hand there. So we’re going try to come out, and do some big things in 2024,” Wallace added.
