Team Toyota had a good outing at the New Hampshire Motors Speedway as they were able to have the pole and the race wins on their back. Though Joe Gibbs racing No:19 driver Martin Truex Jr, Started on the pole it was the No:20 car of Christopher Bell that got them the win they crave for the last few rounds of cup racing. The dominant win of Bell over P2 finisher Chase Elliott was just the cherry on the cake for the team.
Bubba Wallace, the No:23 Toyota Camry for 23X1 Racing, was the second-best Toyota on the attack as he finished P3 at the finish line holding off former cup champion Martin Truex Jr. after making an incredible march in the top five following the pit stop and good tire management. Bubba Wallace ran in the top 10 most of the day and was able to convert his fine form on the track and his pit crew’s good form on the pit to his first p3 of the season.
It seems like the pit crew swap between Bubba Wallace and Christopher Bell teams, which raised a lot of eyebrows has done wonders for both the drivers though the last race outcome didn’t really show that. As his pit crew was able to get Bell to his first win of the season while Bootie Baker and the team were able to secure Bubba Wallace a return to the Top 5 after a very disappointing last couple of arcing for him in a disappointing season so far.

Find out what Bubba Wallace said
Bubba Wallace acknowledged that he is proud of himself, the team, and everybody at the shop as they have provided him with a decent car for him to race on Sunday. He pointed out that the car didn’t handle that well for him but had good speed and pointed out that he was able to put himself on the right track for the whole with his mental preparation.
“Yeah, I’m just proud of the team, proud of myself, proud of everybody at the shop. They brought a—I’m going to give them a “decent” DraftKings Toyota Camry TRD. It didn’t handle that great but it had speed, so we knew that. Just the mental preparation, had to set yourself up for a long day, and we did,” Bubba Wallace said.
Bubba Wallace went on to say that he had no idea what they were running there at the end though he had the idea that it would be inside the top 5. He pointed out that with the tire management there at the end they were able to get a good finish. He went on to add that he is proud of everyone involved in the team and happy about the fact he was able to get out of a hell of a month with a top 5 run.
“We had no idea what we were running there at the end. I knew it was inside the top five. But just tire management there at the end and we were able to capitalize. Just proud of everybody. Happy. It’s been hell for me the last month, so good to come out with a top five,” Bubba Wallace added.
Bubba Wallace went on to say that he isn’t surprised about the result as racing is a sport that always humbles you. He went on to say that even after you do all of your jobs correctly and keeps the task at hand it’s still uncertain what the race result holds for you. He added that its all about sticking true to your path to succeed in racing.
“This sport humbles you, so there are really no surprises. You‘ve got to keep the task at hand and be mindful of your surroundings and just do your job. As long as you do that, you never know if you’re going to end up with a top three or 20th or whatever it may be. You just stick true to your path,” Bubba Wallace explained.
