Bubba Wallace proved himself at the penultimate round of the NASCAR Cup Series regular season. The 23XI Racing driver delivered a solid performance and finished 12th. Though he has had better finishes in his Cup career, Bubba Wallace considers it his best road course race. After the race, he shared a sweet moment with his wife, Amanda Wallace, and the 23XI Racing crew.
The 23XI Racing’s official X (Formerly known as Twitter) handle shared a video of Bubba Wallace hugging his wife and crew members. They captioned it by writing, “The team. The team. The team. One more. Forward Together.” Their “one more” refers to the upcoming Daytona race, the regular season finale. It is a crucial race for Wallace as it will determine whether he makes it into the NASCAR Cup playoffs for the 2023 season.
Bubba Wallace emerged confident and delivered a solid result at Watkins Glen International. His loved ones celebrated his performance on the track. Wallace’s wife Amanda, his pillar of strength, waited for him after the race. She hugged him and expressed her happiness. After all, Wallace will most likely make it to the playoffs as he secured important points in Go Bowling At The Glen. Amanda Wallace and his crew were delighted for him as a playoff spot was finally within his reach.

Bubba Wallace can enter the playoffs if there is no new winner at Daytona
Wallace has a 32-point lead for the final playoff spot after Watkins Glen. The stakes are much higher now as he is hanging by a thread. Though road course races haven’t always been his strong suit, Wallace successfully got through them. Hence, the worst is over. If he delivers another good result this weekend, he will clinch his first-ever playoff spot.
Bubba Wallace and his team will be focused on the upcoming Daytona race. The 23XI Racing driver is already familiar with and has three second-place finishes at the track. Without any doubt, Wallace will give his best and aim to enter the 16-drivers playoff field. He is currently 14th in the overall NASCAR Cup Series standings. However, other drivers like Daniel Suárez and Ty Gibbs are also in contention for the playoff spot.
Though the odds are in his favor, Bubba Wallace might be in trouble if there is a new winner at Daytona. The 29-year-old thanked William Byron for winning the race as it took the playoff chance from another new driver. Bubba Wallace’s goal is to enter the weekend with a positive mindset and deliver a solid result that would get him into the playoffs for the first time.
