23XI Racing’s Bubba Wallace took a special trip to the Daytona International Speedway ahead of the 2024 NASCAR season. He drove in the Michelin Piolet Challenge ahead of the 2024 24 Hours of Daytona Race for Toyota. Wallace later stayed at the track to watch the iconic Rollex 24 race of IMSA as well.
Wallace teamed up with John Hunter Nemechek of Legacy Motor Club and Corey Heim of Truck team Tricon Garage as the Toyota driver for the event. They didn’t have the best race possible, as reliability issues and a blown-up tier while Wallace was behind the wheel cost them a good finish to the race, which Wallace entered to refine his Road Course skills.
Alongside racing, Wallace is also a good photographer, and he often shares his race day experience through social media, posting pictures he took. He shared four photos from the Daytona Endurance race he took while watching it in the stands. A race fan who came across the post criticized him for not posting pics of his car in the race, posting, “Bro posted every car but his own.” Wallace was too quick to respond to this post.
Are you a fan or are you a fan…How the hell am I gonna take a pic of my own car when I’m driving? And how am I gonna take a pic of my teammates when we ain’t even in this damn race?!! Be better bro.Wallace wrote on X.

Bubba Wallace has a challenging season ahead of him
The 2023 season witnessed the best Cup series version of Bubba Wallace ever. He made it into the playoffs on points, on the back of his consistent runs in the last two months of the regular season, and was able to find his way into the post-season R-12.
Going into the 2024 season, he is expected to produce a better performance and, most importantly, end his winless streak. His last win was in the Kansas playoff race in 2022, and mistakes from him and the team cost Wallace multiple opportunities to win races last season.
He is going into the season with a different mindset, letting everything settle down naturally instead of rushing and trying too much to have a good season. Wallace will be hoping to better his finishes with this approach.
